June 22 and 23 Ted Talk Project Completion and Final Day of Class

 Attendance. Move to Tech Lab to work on Ted Talk Project - Assign 11 on Teams.  Tuesday June 22 - To return No Fixed Address Books and any and all silent reading books.  Wednesday - students not finished with Assign 11 - with Ms. Mackenzie to Tech Lab to complete work.  Kahoot for remainder of last day of class. 

June 21 Ted Talk Project Continued . . . .

Attendance.  Self Guided Reading Students - with their self guided reading books. 20 min.  Class to clean their desk and then move upstairs to the Tech Lab - to work on Assign 11 Teams. Students have already been provided an intro to this assignment earlier on in the week. Tech Lab Upstairs - key located in library.  Note: Last in class day to work on this assignment will be Tuesday June 22 2021. 

June 18 2021 Block C Students Final Math Exam - occurring in Eng 9

Attendance. Send EA with absences to the office. TOC - Attendance list emailed to you.  Block C Students - will be writing their final Math Exam in English Class.  Test should arrive to you from Mr. Colvin in room 205.  You have your EA Ms. Mackenzie to assist. Some students will leave with her to go to their allocated resource room for test assistance. She will let you know whom. Resource teachers to check in with Ms. Grimm, Ms. Vincent.  Any questions can be called in to the main office: #1001 

June 17 Ted Talk Project

Attendance Self Guided Reading. Task - June 17th - goal today - to locate a Ted Talk of your interest. Watch and listen. Note down main points and perhaps 2-3 quotes you may wish to you in your summary paragraph (#2 as part of Assign 11 on Teams).

June 15 2021 Intro To Ted Talk Project

Attendance  Self Guided Reading Discussion Questions - No Fixed Address. - Back of Novel. Note: Re: Assign 11 - Individual Assignment - You will have up to Monday June 21, 2021 in class time to research (locate a Ted Talk that is of interest to you) and complete this individual project - Assign 11 Teams. We will start on Thursday and Friday and also have Monday to complete this assignment.

Wednesday June 2 2021 RV Dweller Crack Down Article Review & (If Time) Tech Art Review Group Assignment

Attendance. Self Guided Reading 20  Continuation of class discussion questions from last Friday. Review of : Rally blocks Vancouver traffic to oppose crackdown on vehicle dwellers 1. “Listen Chen, an organizer with the Red Braid Alliance for Decolonial Socialism, said Wednesday’s (May 26 2021) rally was “to show the city it cannot continue to criminalize poverty and send the message that people are supposed to disappear into thin air.”   What does criminalizing poverty mean to you/your group? Do you agree with Chen’s perspective that the city of Vancouver cannot continue to criminalize poverty by displacing the RV residents of 12 th  and Slocan? Why or why not.    2.
