Review of Teams > Assignments - uploads - how to's. 

1. How to upload a link from your Sharepoint.

2. Alternate option - download from Sharepoint to desktop - upload to teams - then delete from desktop. 

*Note: The upload must be a Sharepoint link OR a word doc .doc or .docx - webarchive links - DO NOT WORK from my end when it comes to opening them. 

*Note: If you have a group member sharing a link with you - be sure to download the doc and save to your desktop (then remove) OR upload to your own Sharepoint - to then grab URL to upload to Teams - safest option.  

Review of missing work - Assign 6 - time to fix missing work and review assignments to date. Those who are up to date can have 15 more minutes reading time.

What is it? Urban Dictionary is a crowdsourced online dictionary for slang words and phrases, operating under the motto "Define Your World." The website was founded in 1999 by Aaron Peckham. Originally, Urban Dictionary was intended as a dictionary of slang, common words, not typically found in standard dictionaries, but it is now used to define any word, event, or phrase. Words or phrases on Urban Dictionary may have multiple definitions, usage examples, and tags. As of 2014, the dictionary had over seven million definitions, while around 2,000 new entries were being added daily.

5 Urban Slang words that your group uses today - can be brand new or a few years old - (appropriate in nature) and write your full definition for these words - chalk work - outside - word + your definition. Be prepared to share with the group. 



Home Learners - please place your 5 words plus definitions in the Home Learning Private Channel for Eng 9. Save to your one drive for later use. Title the file appropriately.

It’s about working together to overcome the devastating effects of colonization. What is colonization?  In  Canada ,  colonization  occurred when a new group of people migrated to North America, took over and began to control Indigenous Peoples. Colonizers impose their own cultural values, religions, and laws, make policies that did not/do not favour Indigenous Peoples.
